Reading in John...

Jesus' first miracle was in a relational setting. As a matter of fact, most of the readings of Jesus occur in relational, everyday settings. This idea of community is found all through out scripture. Even from the beginning of time the idea of community is present. God knew it wasn't good for Adam to be alone so He gave him community with Eve. A struggle Jill and I face is finding that community. We love the community we have Sunday morning or any of the many youth events. But just recently we have started getting to know a couple of the young couples in the church. We got to take part in a small group for a few months with a really fun group of people with children everywhere! And we recently started another small group of young married couples. We get to spend a good bit of time with them. I've noticed that when we get to spend time with them we both feel refreshed, and rejuvenated. God has blessed us with community, our response should be thanksgiving. It's so easy to take advantage of the ones we love so dear. We are actually on our way out to see a movie with them now!
